The Maryland Arborist Association is proud of its history in giving back to the Maryland community. Through our annual Arborist Day event, members of the MAA have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of man hours to volunteer for arboriculture service projects across the state. This event is centered around volunteer work for a local Maryland community that could use the association's help.
Our 44th Maryland Arborist Day will be held at Cylburn Arboretum, a 200-acre urban oasis in Baltimore City. Cylburn is a place of natural beauty and learning with hundreds of specimen trees and plantings, gorgeous gardens, wooded trails, and an historic mansion. Open to the public year-round, the arboretum is visited by thousands who enjoy this remarkable place each year.
Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided to all volunteers. LTE credits pending.
All participants must bring their own climbing and personal protective equipment. All gear/equipment must be up to MOSH, ANSI ZI33, and TCIA standards.
